And her competitor, Rumyana Cholakova, a primary school teacher, failed at the first test. However, she continues to be the temporary director of the school, which educates just over 200 children. The building is huge, renovated and modernized.
“Our base is very good. We built a combined volleyball and basketball court, now we are building one for football,” commented Mayor Vasil Cherpeliyski. According to him, some of the Stryamali children travel to Plovdiv for school. And so two of the floors of the modern educational institution stand empty.
“There will be a new competition for a director in Stryama,” Ivanka Kirkova, the head of the educational inspectorate in Plovdiv, explained to “24 Chasa”. The reason is that neither of the two candidates was successful.
“The procedure is closed, there is no elected director,” she said.
According to her, the fact that Rumyana Cholakova is currently the temporary director does not mean anything. “She was appointed a few months ago and now no change can be made. The competition has three stages – submission of documents, test, interview with two case studies and a concept. You have to collect a minimum number of points to be able to win it” , Kirkova pointed out.
