by time news

American astronaut Megan MacArthur said on her Twitter that pepper was grown on board the International Space Station for the first time.

“The Plant Habitat-04 experiment started today! We are growing pepper for the first time in space – a difficult task due to the long germination and growth cycles. But it is a great source of vitamin C and a seasoning!” – she wrote on Twitter.

At the same time, MacArthur did not explain what kind of pepper is grown on the ISS.
