That is why this script that he wrote has an ambivalence that seeks to prevail among the more commercial public and the most attached to art.

But it is precisely this, which for the film’s distributor, earned him the
ability to be displayed in the 43rd International Film Forum.
“If there is one thing this film has, it is that it is very actor-oriented and has several small experimental features. very poetic, which is their strong point.
“The film has its narrative part and although it is experimental or very authorial, has the opportunity to connect with the viewer and that is only created through emotionality,” he added.
For this reason, this production was carried out in conjunction with Colombia, It has realities that are close to those of some Mexican women who, according to the scriptwriter, allow them to recognize themselves in what is portrayed on screen.
“Although the protagonist is a Colombian character, he is an indigenous, marginalized, displaced person; This is very important because the film talks about the issue of mining..
“These narrative details are what allow us to reach a wider audience and I like to make films that play with the dichotomy to take the best of art and narrative cinema, and I think that is how it is achieved,” he concluded.
I Saw Three Black Lights tells the story of Jose of the Saintsa man who has learned about the mortuary rituals of his culture, but has not been able to bury his son who disappeared some time ago, his spirit appears before him, asking him to go into the jungle in search of the place where he should die.
The film will be screened at the International Film Forum, which will take place from July 18 to August 4.
