Just on the day of the fifth anniversary of the dissemination of the “Notebooks” cause that shook politics, justice and the business world, a calligraphic expert opinion ordered in the courts of Comodoro Py 2002 determined that the irregularities detected in the notebooks of Oscar Centeno had been made by Jorge Bacigalupo, the former police officer and friend of the taxi driver who had been left in charge of the manuscripts before they reached the hands of Justice, sources with access to the file revealed to Infobae.

Throughout some twenty pages, the analysis reviews details of the traces of Centeno’s friend’s writing in relation to the detected amendments. And it shows that Bacigalupo’s writing lacked “spontaneity” when Judge Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi made the expert opinion ordered.

“The revision or amendment of some literal signs such as the “y”, “r”, “n”, erasures, inclination variances, pressure, as magnification and compression of words is remarkable; all this indicative of the lack of spontaneity in its concretion, which, although it can be attributed to a state of nervousness of the act itself, is remarkable and worthy of mention in the executive variations displayed throughout the formation of said body ” , it was stated.

With these results, Judge Martínez De Giorgi ordered the analysis of the telephones and computers that had been seized from Bacigalupo’s house on May 10 in a search and that had been awaiting analysis based on the results of this expert opinion, the sources consulted indicated to Infobae.

Precisely, the analysis of this material was made on digital copies of the manuscripts. And only on the amendments that Loson denounced, not on all of the notebooks.

The Federal Oral Court 7, which has in its hands the pieces that appeared in 2019, refused to deliver the originals for this analysis. The trial prosecutor Fabiana León, in addition, was critical before the TOF for the existence of this case on the fourth floor of Comodoro Py 2002, whose complainant is one of the businessmen prosecuted in the main case. The case led by Martínez De Giorgi investigates the irregularities denounced by the businessman Armando Loson in the sheets that alluded to him. The judge ordered to analyze the official handwriting records of Hilda Horowitz, Centeno’s ex-wife, and Bacigalupo, Centeno’s friend.

The analysis on the woman’s handwriting was negative, but the study on Bacigalupo’s handwriting raised suspicions. “A possible participation of the named in the alterations and/or modifications of the questioned manuscripts cannot be ruled out, whose suspicion enables to investigate the collection of other valid evidence for the success of the investigation,” said the report to which Infobae agreed.

Faced with this, Judge Martínez de Giorgi ordered a raid on Bacigalupo’s house, on Moldes street in the Belgrano neighborhood, to seize “all kinds of notes, original or copied manuscripts” and “electronic devices (telephones, cell phones, notebooks, , tablets, computers, flash drives, memory cards, micro SD, hard drives, external drives, electronic, computer and/or digital devices, like any other device that allows -among other functions- to store data and record information that exists in the place ”.

And then he called in Bacigalupo to do a body of writing to be compared with the irregularities that Loson detected. “The relationships of proportionality and location of signs with respect to the base lineatura are also reiterated in quality and quantity, which allows us to deduce the same graphic genesis in the whole,” says the expert report.

In the mega-cause of the notebooks, already brought to trial, there are many accused businessmen who are closely following the course of this complaint. Several of the defendants had initially requested an expert opinion on the notebooks but had no luck. But Loson, with the advice of lawyer Carlos Vela, filed a complaint in another court: in April 2022 he presented a private expert study that reported “more than 1,600 alterations to the original text: 1,373 on writings and 195 corrections with correction fluid, to the time that 55 amendments or tested could be visualized, among other anomalies”.

The report also noted that in one of the images it is possible “to corroborate that the characteristics of the form and formation differ widely with respect to the other manuscript productions, both groups coming from different authoring hands.” It also indicated an unexpected change in the speed of the writing with which the first and last notebooks were written.” That is why the suspicion of a “dictation” arose in Loson’s environment.

At the beginning of the case, Loson, from the Albanesi group, had been one of the first arrested. He was also one of those who sealed a defendant-collaborator agreement with the prosecution. When this case for irregularities began, the businessman was not among those involved who had been sent to trial. His defense argued that his case should be sent to electoral justice because his contributions had been for political campaigns.

Prosecutor Stornelli tried to have Martinez De Giorgi’s case included in the main file, but failed in the move. However, Judge Julián Ercolini sent Loson to trial for the mega-file.
