According to the Flightradar24 aircraft tracking system, the aircraft started its journey on Friday morning in the capital of Belarus – taking off from Minsk airport.

After flying over part of the country, he reached Lithuania from the southeast side, bypassing Šalčininki, Varėnas, and Veisiej regional park. Then he flew through Poland, over Slovakia, part of Hungary and continued his journey through Romania and Bulgaria.

“The country of registration of the aircraft is Turkey (TCMAY), the flight was from Minsk (Belarus) to Istanbul (Turkey), the aircraft flew empty – without passengers,” says Oro navigacija.

As stated in the comment, sanctions are not applied to such flights, which is why the aircraft was able to cross Lithuanian airspace.

We remind you that as early as 2021, Lithuania banned planes flying to and from Lithuania from crossing Belarusian airspace. The ban came into effect on May 25.
