Several people called the police just after 03:00 after hearing a loud bang at an apartment building in Handen.
No one was injured in the explosion. It is more about material damage.
– It’s about a blown-up gate and broken windows on the side where it detonated, says police spokesperson Anna Westberg.
During the night, the police cordoned off the site for a technical investigation, knocked on the door and reviewed access to surveillance footage at the site. The national bomb disposal is also on site to investigate what it is that has detonated.
No one has been arrested at the moment. A preliminary investigation into public-dangerous devastation has been launched.
In the last few days two explosions have occurred in the Stockholm area. On the night of Friday, a powerful explosion occurred at an apartment building in Sundbyberg, north of Stockholm. At that address, a detained man with connections to the Foxtrot network is written.
Another detonation occurred on Friday evening at a hair salon in Vinsta in western Stockholm. The motive is unclear.
The police are investigating whether the latest incident has links to gang crime. Even if the explosion has a connection to recent explosions that have occurred recently.
– We check people who are written to the address and also any connection to other events and the gang environment. We have more information than we can share, says Anna Westberg.
