Cuba: A gas leak at a Havana Saradoka restaurant has killed at least 22 people and injured more than 70, according to local media.

The Havana government says no tourists are staying at the Saratoga restaurant because renovations are underway.

Cuban President Diaz-Connell said families near the restaurant affected by the blast had been evacuated.

Cuban state television said the blast was caused by a truck supplying natural gas to a restaurant. But did not disclose details of how the gas ignited.

Also, health officials said the crash caused terrible damage at a school that operated near the restaurant. More than 300 students studied there.

The Cuban health minister told reporters that the search for those trapped in the rubble was ongoing. So the number of injured is likely to rise.
