Explosion in western Ghana: 17 killed – Dinamani

At least 17 people have been killed after a two-wheeler collided with a truck carrying explosives in western Ghana.

A truck was carrying ammunition to a gold mine in the West African country of Ghana. A two wheeler collided with this lorry.

The truck that caught fire in the crash exploded shortly after, causing houses in the area to collapse. Of these, 17 have been killed. In addition, 59 people have been admitted to the hospital and are being treated in critical condition.

Troops and rescue teams are mobilizing to evacuate nearby areas to prevent further fires.
