At least 15 people were injured and 4 were killed in a deadly attack that happened on Istiklal Street in Istanbul. The explosion happened in the heart of a central avenue next to well-known shops – where hundreds of people spent time.
The Department for Israelis Abroad in the Consular Wing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul are investigating whether Israelis were involved in the incident. When there are further updates we will update.
Rona, who is vacationing in Istanbul, told 0404 news that they were walking along the boulevard and witnessed the explosion: “We had just left one of the stores – we had a fun day and nice weather. As soon as we heard the huge explosion, we immediately realized what was happening and ran from the area, it could have been us there.”
