jpnn.comJAKARTA – North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Gulkarmat succeeded in extinguishing a burning ship on Jalan Pier Barat Penjaringan, North Jakarta on Sunday afternoon.
“Gulkarmat deployed 60 personnel. A total of 12 fire trucks were deployed to extinguish the fire from the burning ship in Penjaringan,” Head of Operations for Gulkarmat North Jakarta and the Seribu Islands, Abdul Wahid, in Jakarta, Sunday.
He said that initially officers received a report of a fire at around 14.47 WIB and immediately sent officers to the field to extinguish the fire.
“Initially there were five vehicles deployed to extinguish the fire and the number continued to increase to 12 units,” he said.
Officers arrived at the location at 14.57 WIB and immediately carried out extinguishing until the cooling process at 15.57 WIB
“When we arrived at the location, the fire on the ship was burning and the extinguishing process was immediately carried out for one hour,” said Wahid.(antara/jpnn)
