Extraordinary event at the Goldoni Theatre for the 30th anniversary of the debut

by time news

A unique and extraordinary event at the Teatro Goldoni in Venice: Alessandro Baricco, Gabriele Vacis and the friends of “Novecento” celebrate the 30th anniversary of the debut of the show that made the history of Italian theater. The theatrical monologue written by Baricco and published by Feltrinelli in 1994, debuted at AstiTeatro with Eugenio Allegri and directed by Vacis.

It tells the incredible story of Danny Boodman TD Lemon Novecento, born on a ship and never landed, living an entire existence in his microcosm, playing his music through which to express himself rather than face the vastness of an unknown world. A story that pushes us to reflect on life choices, on the relationship between man and the concept of infinity, on overcoming our own limits. In 1998 Giuseppe Tornatore made the film “The Legend of 1900”.

The event will be held at the Teatro Goldoni in Venice on 20 October 2024 at 6.00 pm as part of the VI edition of the Festival of Ideas.
