Able to restart, but with a too damaged wing, Leclerc was unable to start the Grand Prix. “I lost the hydraulics. Why am I so unlucky? », shouted the Ferrari driver on his radio. “I was in turn 6. I lost all the hydraulics. I went straight at first because the steering wheel became very hard. I lost control,” he explained a few minutes later on Canal+.
An impressive crash at the start
Charles Leclerc, who is indeed unlucky. Third in Mexico last week, the driver was disqualified two weeks ago in the United States after the race for a few extra millimeters on his flat bottom. “There, I can’t do anything. It hurts. We leave, we make three turns and it stops there,” he lamented.
Leclerc was unable to take part in the equally chaotic start of the Brazilian Grand Prix. As soon as the lights went out, in the first straight, Alexander Albon (Williams) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas) collided violently, causing a red flag and the interruption of the race. The Brazilian Grand Prix is scheduled to start again at 6:31 p.m. French time.
