The agreement was signed by the president of FAAPA, Director General of the Maghreb Arab Press Agency (MAP), Mr. Fouad Arif, and the president of AMAN, CEO of the Italian National Press Agency (ANSA ), Stefano De Alessandri, on the sidelines of the work of the 32nd General Assembly of AMAN.
It concerns, among other things, the support of members of the two organizations in promoting professional cooperation between AMAN and FAAPA.
Through this agreement, AMAN and FAAPA undertake to keep each other informed of developments recorded at the level of the two organizations and to share documents of common interest made public by both parties.
Furthermore, the two professional organizations grant each other observer status and may decide to invite up to two representatives from both sides to take part in their respective General Assemblies, without the right to vote.
AMAN and FAAPA give each other direct access to their respective websites, under the terms of this agreement, which also stipulates that each party will help the other to develop its portal and its services.
The work of the 32nd General Assembly of the Alliance of Mediterranean Press Agencies is being held in Palermo, with the participation of directors general and representatives of the alliance’s member press agencies, including MAP.
This Assembly is marked by the organization of a conference on the theme “Energy and tourism for sustainable development in the Mediterranean” which will be an opportunity for participants to highlight the contribution of AMAN member press agencies in promoting this theme.
The agenda of this 32nd General Assembly also includes organizational points, notably the presentation of the report of the outgoing president of AMAN, the adoption of the financial report and the election of the new executive committee of the AMAN. ‘alliance.
