Face shields mandatory in schools, colleges and theaters in Karnataka: Health Minister notification

Bengaluru: The Health Minister has announced that face shields are mandatory in schools, colleges and theaters in Karnataka. After two and a half years in China, the corona epidemic has once again posed a great threat. Similarly, the cases of corona are increasing in America, Brazil, Japan, Republic of Korea.

In view of this, other countries including India are accelerating precautionary measures. A consultation meeting was recently held in Karnataka with the participation of Chief Minister Basavaraj Tommy, ministers, senior officials of the health department and members of the Corona Technical Advisory Committee.

As a result, the government has decided to make wearing face shields mandatory in closed areas, air-conditioned rooms and indoor halls in the state. In this case, Karnataka Health Minister Sudhakar while speaking to the media today said that wearing of face shields in schools, colleges and theaters in Karnataka is compulsory.

During New Year’s celebrations, wearing face coverings has been made mandatory in pubs, restaurants and bars. It is reported that the New Year celebrations will end at one o’clock in the night. The minister said that no one should be afraid. We must take precautions.

Similarly, the government has also decided to carry out 2 per cent random screening of international passengers arriving and departing at airports in Karnataka. Karnataka government has also decided to open corona wards in all district hospitals with adequate beds and oxygen supply. The Minister has said that this action will continue till further revised orders from the Union Government.
