Sumar sees the debate at four on the 19th as a “second round”

Sumar’s campaign spokesman, Ernest Urtasun, has harshly criticized the Sánchez-Feijóo meeting: “The big loser is Spanish society, which deserved a higher debate than tonight’s.”

The politician has valued the face to face between Sánchez and Fejióo tonight as a debate “more typical of the nineties” that does not represent current Spanish society. “Politics is much better than this. There is an alternative to this policy of noise and reproach”, said the MEP after midnight at the coalition headquarters. “Nobody has talked about climate change, there have been no proposals aimed at young people, or the reduction of working hours,” recalled Urtasun, for whom these issues “reflect a debate focused on the problems of politicians themselves.”

In his opinion, the result “confirms the campaign orientation” that they have decided to do in Sumar, very focused on the program’s proposals and on “the problems” of the citizens.

Spanish society deserves “more and better debates than the ones we have seen tonight,” concluded Urtasun. “The electoral debate of this campaign is yet to be done,” he pointed out in reference to the three-way format, now without Feijóo, on RTVE next week. “The second round is on the 19th and Sumar will do it,” the candidate, Yolanda Díaz, settled in networks.
