Facebook announces acquisition of virtual reality fitness company

Facebook-owned VR headset brand Oculus acquires Within, which makes Supernatural VR fitness technology. This is stated in a press release from Oculus.

“We believe fitness is going to be an incredible success in virtual reality,” said Oculus developer Jason Rubin.

Supernatural helps the user to perform workouts in a playful way using virtual reality glasses and multiple trackers. Meta (Facebook’s new name) clarifies that Within will market its product as an independent studio within Reality Labs.
