Facebook company’s next round of layoffs .. will this time affect Indians more?

Facebook’s parent company, Meta, has already laid off 11,000 employees last year, and the next round of layoffs has been reported.

It is known that leading IT companies are laying off jobs all over the world and especially Facebook laid off 11000 employees last year and Indians were also affected.
A leading newspaper has reported that some more employees may be fired due to the confusion in the reporting of budget plans. As a result, it is said that some employees including the manager are likely to be fired.

A Facebook official has said that there may be a reduction in staff in 2023 and some measures will have to be taken to increase the company’s investments and take austerity measures, which will include layoffs.

He also said that reduction of staff is inevitable as far as 2023 is concerned. As 11,000 employees have already been fired, the company’s employees are currently working in fear, and it is shocking to hear that some more employees may be fired.

There is no word yet on how many employees will be laid off, but it is expected to be released soon. It is also said that about 400 Indians are likely to lose their jobs this time.

It is to be noted that last year the laid off employees were given 16 weeks basic pay.
