Directed by director Mani Ratnam, the movie ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ released worldwide on September 30 last year has collected more than Rs.500 crore and the film has collected Rs.130 crore in foreign countries alone.

In Tamil Nadu alone, Ponni’s film Selvan has collected more than Rs.230 crores and moved to the first position in the collection record. The team is working hard to complete the rest of the second part of the movie soon.

Kattadi Ramamurthy played the role of a child astrologer in Ponni’s Selvan. It seems that his scenes have been removed due to length. Writer Pattukottai Prabhakar mentioned this in his Facebook post. Following this, he has now said that Lyca company has given him salary money.

“His was also involved in the deleted scenes due to length. He shared it with regret and said that he was not paid for his work. I made a note of it. Yesterday, when I met Kattadi Sarai at the function of thinking out loud, he said thank you that the amount came with a smile on his face. Thanks to Leica for taking action when it came to our attention,” said Pattukottai Prabhakar.

The team has officially announced that the second part of Ponni Selvan will release on April 28.
