Facebook will update its anti-bullying policy

The Facebook company intends to protect people from massive threats and harassment on social networks. Such requirements will be spelled out in the company’s bullying and insult policy.

“We are announcing an update to our Bullying and Harassment Policy to better protect people in our apps. We are introducing a policy of protecting people from massive threats and harassment, ”the company said in a statement.

Facebook will remove content that violates the updated policy. This applies to any attempt at coordinated mass persecution. The social network also intends to remove “government-linked account networks”, the purpose of which is to harass people or silence them.

Separately, the company intends to protect “public figures” – politicians, journalists, celebrities, human rights activists. Facebook will thwart attempts at coordinated attacks against them.
