Malika, 47, lives in a working-class area of ​​Montpellier (Hérault). She is one of the 330 participants in the common food fund launched at the start of the year by a group of associations. At the start of each month, this former childcare assistant, who fell into precariousness a few years ago due to an “accident of life”, pays her contribution of 30 euros. In return, she receives the equivalent of 100 euros which she can spend with one of the merchants selected by the citizen committee of the fund.
