The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, together with the Argentine Federation of Associations of Travel and Tourism Companies (Faevyt) and the support of the National Youth Institute (INJUVE), launched Turismo Emprende, an intensive training proposal for students and young people who are part of the sector.

Martín Romano, director of Faevyt told this medium: “In the industry we saw ourselves with the need to obtain trained personnel and collaborators. And Turismo Emprende is a training tool for young people who are averaging their university degrees in tourism, to be able to undertake and promote our industry”.

The objective is to provide tools that facilitate their incorporation into the labor market and improve existing capacities for internal and receptive tourism. The topics covered are Tourism Legislation, Accounting and taxes, Information Technology applied to tourism, Introduction to digital marketing for tourism companies and Marketing tools in tourism ventures.

In addition, he added that from Faevyt: “We support and promote the project; and we mark the needs that travel agents have, for trained professional services”. “Due to the growth that tourism has had, there is a demand for tour guides, professionals in digital marketing and also in the legal and tax framework,” the businessman concluded.

The federal, open and free initiative begins the last week of June and consists of 60 hours of training distributed over two months. The course modality is hybrid, with face-to-face and remote instances combined in its different locations: San Juan, City of Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Misiones and Córdoba.
