jpnn.com – Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia made a confession regarding his failure to stand on the highest podium at the San Marino MotoGP, Sunday (8/9).

Pecco had to settle for second place. He said it was because he lost concentration.

Due to his lack of solid focus, Pecco, who started the race from pole position, was overtaken by Marc Marquez as the winner of the San Marino GP.

Bagnaia was 3.102 seconds behind the champion from Gresini Racing.

“At that time, I lost some concentration, also due to the fact that my fitness condition was not ideal,” said Bagnaia.

Despite still suffering from pain from injuries sustained after being involved in a crash with Alex Marquez, Bagnaia admitted that he had given his best effort.

“We did our best, not (too bad) like yesterday (in the sprint race). So, I’m quite happy,” added Pecco.

The next round of the 2024 MotoGP season will continue in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, on September 20-22. (motogp/jpnn)
