A teenage love that he loved passionately. The boy, a man from Rosario whose name was notoriously never published by any Argentine media, was everything to “La Negra” (this is how Antonela was nicknamed by her friends in her hometown).

After the interview with Para Ti, they shared photos on social networks that showed what Roccuzzo’s friend was saying. There Messi’s wife is seen very much in love with that enigmatic young man. The curious thing is that the photos date from the years 2004, 2005 and 2006. By then the Barcelona footballer was already a professional player. Far from the place he occupies today, he had been youth champion with Argentina in the Under 20 World Cup held in 2005 in the Netherlands.

In 2007, Antonela’s situation changed… forever. Taking advantage of the European summer recess, Messi returned to Rosario to visit his family. On July 20, known in Argentina as ‘Friend’s Day’, La Negra met with his friends in the town of Roldán, a small town near the capital of Santa Fe.

In that meeting, her relatives noticed that the young woman had a new Blackberry brand cell phone, a luxury for the time. When consulting her, she told them that she had given it to Messi. There was nothing more to talk about: her friends understood that she had left her ex-boyfriend for the rising world soccer star.
