A group of faithful in a Catholic church in Colombia came out in defense of a priest who was threatened by a man who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol while celebrating Mass.

The events occurred on Friday, July 21, in a church located in the municipality of Guadalupe, in the department of Huila, in the south of the country.

In a video broadcast on social networks, you can see Fr. Jhon Frey, who was celebrating Mass in the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who is interrupted by the man who yelled at him because he was not listening and demanded: “Speak hard!” (nd strong).

The priest very calmly replied: “I am speaking harshly”, and the man continued to rebuke him: “I am not listening!”, to which Fr. Jhon Frey, without losing his composure, replied: “Well, we are going to try to speak more harshly”.

After a brief exchange between the two, the man approached the ambo of the Word, where the priest was, and began to complain angrily because, according to him, he still could not hear him.

Given the man’s way of speaking and his attitude, which became increasingly aggressive, several faithful approached him, reduced him and expelled him from the temple to continue the Mass.
