On the plea of ​​the petitioner, the Supreme Court said that the allegations are of a very serious nature and, if true, will undoubtedly damage the reputation of the federal government, armed forces, ISI and Pakistan Rangers, so they cannot be ignored. However, the court did not act under Article 184(3) of the Constitution as requested in the petition, asking the court to act under its original powers under that article.

The Supreme Court said that the petitioner suspected that the Ministry of Defense would not consider his complaint, as the respondents were holding senior positions in the armed forces, however, the Additional Attorney General for Pakistan has assured that the complaint Due consideration will be given. Therefore, the petitioner’s suspicion is misplaced, on the court order in mid-April this year regarding the informal setting up of a high-level inquiry headed by a Major General to investigate allegations of abuse of power against the former DGISI. It was informed, due to unknown reasons, the military authorities did not formally announce the initiation of an inquiry against General (R) Faiz, but almost all the leading TV channels and newspapers reported this news with reference to unknown sources. It is said that the military authorities had ordered an investigation in this case after the order of the Supreme Court.
