Fake doctor arrested with fake medical certificate in Russia
Hyderabad: The police have arrested a fake doctor who worked in a hospital by preparing a fake certificate that he studied medicine in a medical university in Russia.
Vijayakumar was arrested while trying to get a fake stamp in his passport as if he had gone to Russia.
Meerut police have arrested 36-year-old Vijayakumar, who was working as a doctor in a private hospital operating in Karmangat area. He was interrogated and two others who helped him obtain fake certificates were arrested.
As he usually came only for night shift, it was found that he was working as a mere observer at night to the patients being treated by other doctors.
Investigation has revealed that he had paid around 6.5 lakhs to get a fake medical certificate and had previously worked as a medical assistant in a hospital.
