For this, a malicious APK (Android application package) link is provided by the scammers. This malware is part of the Wromba family, which has damaged about 4400 devices so far. This malware is extremely dangerous because it can track one-time passwords (OTP) and other sensitive messages. With its help, hackers can access e-commerce accounts. Scammers do not transfer funds directly. Instead, they buy gift cards and redeem them. In this way, fake transactions worth about Rs 16 lakh can be done.
