T1’s captain ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok Lee won the title of ’E-Sports Player of the Year’ selected by The game Awards (TGA), the world’s largest gaming awards ceremony, for two consecutive years.
Faker received the award in the ‘Best e-Sports Player’ category at the 2024 TGA Awards held in Los Angeles, USA on the 12th (local time).
Faker also received the ‘Esports Player of the Year’ award at TGA last year.
This year, T1 won the League of Legends (LoL) world Championship (Worlds) for two consecutive years.
T1, led by captain Faker, won the team’s fifth championship with this win.
Meanwhile, Faker’s team T1 was also selected as the ‘Best eSports Team’ at the awards ceremony.
