Fakhrul called on BGMEA leaders to remain united during the crisis

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the leaders of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) to remain united during the crisis.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir held a meeting with a high-level delegation of BGME at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan on Tuesday (September 10). At this time, he made this call.

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan said on Wednesday (September 11), a high-level delegation led by BGMEA president Rafiqul Islam held a meeting with BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

In the meeting, BGMEA leaders said that some group is trying to create some kind of instability in the garment industry during the current government. But according to the decision of the party and on the instructions of BNP Acting Chairman Tarek Rahman, local leaders and party leaders and workers at all levels immediately cooperated with us. Somewhere they are guarding.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also spoke to the Home Secretary about their problems after listening to the speech of the businessmen.

Addressing the BGMEA leaders, the BNP Secretary General said that in order to bring back the economy, politics and democratic rights, we must come forward to solve the problem unitedly at this critical time.

The BNP delegation headed by Mirza Fakhrul Islam was accompanied by the party’s standing committee member and former commerce minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, vice chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu.

Other members of BGMEA delegation are- Abdullah Hill Rakib, Rakibul Alam, Shobhan Islam, Nurul Islam, Absar Hossain, SM Fazulul Haque, Kazi Munir, Mostafa Golam Quddus, Kafil Uddin, Abul Kalam etc.
