Fall in the capital market on the second day the economy

Trading on the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) ended the second business day of the week on Tuesday (September 17) with indices falling. On this day, the amount of money traded in DSE decreased compared to the previous working day, but it increased in CSE. Besides, shares of most of the companies traded on DSE and CSE and unit prices of mutual funds fell.

According to DSE and CSE sources, at the end of the day, the main index of DSE, DSEX, is 30.17 points lower than the previous day at 5,681 points. The DSE Shariah index fell by 8.49 points to 1,238 points and the DS30 index fell by 16.91 points to 2,688 points.

A total of 401 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, share and unit prices increased in 156 companies, decreased in 182 and remained unchanged in 63.

A total of 634 crore 96 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE on this day. Shares and units worth Tk 668 crore 95 lakh were traded on the previous working day.

On the other hand, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX index is down by 28.10 points at 9,688 points. Overall index CASPI decreased by 41.66 points to 16 thousand 77 points, Sharia index decreased by 1.98 points to 1 thousand 32 points and CSE30 index decreased by 52.60 points to 12 thousand 874 points.

Shares and units of 225 companies were traded on CSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 97 companies increased, 103 decreased and 25 remained unchanged.

At the end of the day, shares and units of Tk 10 crore 91 lakh were traded in CSE. Shares and units worth Tk 5 crore 83 lakh were traded on the previous working day.
