The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has fined 10 companies half a lakh riyals (Rs 10.2 lakh) for failing to provide services in Makkah and Umrah. The action is against companies that do not provide the promised service, including accommodation and transport.
The ministry has made it clear that it will not tolerate any failure in the service of the pilgrims. The action was taken following a lightning inspection following complaints from pilgrims.
