Manas: The Indian team lost to Chile 0-3 in a four-nation football series.
The Asian Cup for women is set to take place in India next year (Jan. 20 – Feb. 6). In preparation for this, the Indian women’s team has been participating in various international competitions. Part of this is playing in a four-nation series on Brazilian soil.
The Indian team (57th), which lost to strong Brazil in the first match, met 37th-ranked Chile in its second match.
Maria Urudia of Chile scored in the 14th minute to give India a 0-1 lead in the first half. The Indian players struggled to equalize in the second half. In the 66th minute, Manisha’s ball was blocked by Chile goalkeeper Endular. In the next few minutes the ball scored by Manisha was wasted again.
In the 84th and 85th minutes of the match, Chile’s Hernandez and Araya Thala scored a goal each. In the end, the Indian team lost 0-3. In their last match, the Indian team will face Venezuela (Dec. 2).
