Shortly after 9am, the tragedy: the woman slipped, falling without being able to find a handhold: it ended up thirty meters down the valley, repeatedly hitting the rocks.
In the area there were personnel from the Guardia di Finanza’s Alpine Rescue team who immediately intervened while the permanent fire brigade helicopter arrived from Trento.
Unfortunately, repeated attempts to revive the hiker were in vain: the injuries sustained in the fall were too serious.
