The Civil Police of Rio opened an inquiry to investigate a case of aggression against a family in Copacabana, in the south zone of Rio. The case took place on Monday, the 20th, and among the accused is an Italian tourist. Monitoring cameras recorded the fight, and in the images you can see the man hitting a woman.

According to the record, among those attacked is a 77-year-old woman and a teenager, who would have fractured his nose. According to the family involved in the fight, two other people were assaulted.

The confusion happened when a resident of the building, which is located on Rua Bulhões de Carvalho, went down to get a pizza and, upon returning, prevented a woman from entering the building – the place does not have a 24-hour doorman. Initially, there was an argument with an exchange of pushes. Afterwards, the Italian tourist – who would be the husband of the woman trying to enter the building – appears exchanging punches and shoves. At one point, he appears on the ground.

The case was registered at the 13th DP, in Ipanema. The Police analyze the surveillance cameras and listen to witnesses to understand the dynamics of the confusion. The agents are also awaiting the results of the forensic examinations. In principle, the accused must answer for the crime of bodily injury.
