This Thursday, the 30th, relatives and friends of the teenager João Gabriel Cardim, who died after being run over in August 2022 by the influencer Bruno Krupp held a protest in Rio de Janeiro, in the neighborhood of Realengo, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, against the release of the model, who was released from jail after 8 months of detention. Another protest is also scheduled to take place this Saturday, the 1st, at the place where the tragic traffic accident took place. In August of last year, Krupp was driving his motorcycle at very high speed, over 10 km/h, on an avenue in Barra da Tijuca when he ran over the 16-year-old, who died instantly. The influencer would be without the license and days before had been stopped in a Prohibition blitz. Arrested since the hit-and-run, Bruno Krupp was released this Wednesday, 29, by a decision of the Superior Justice Tribunal (STJ), which understood that the release does not interfere with the progress of the investigations. João Gabriel Cardim’s family is unhappy and wants the model to go back to jail, but at the moment Krupp must only comply with precautionary measures, such as using an electronic anklet.
