WASHINGTON: Hollywood director, actor, film critic and writer Peter Bogdanovich has died at the age of 82. She died Thursday at her home in Los Angeles of a congenital heart disease. The death was announced by Peter’s daughter Antonia Bogdanovich. Peter was born on July 30, 1939, in Kingston, New York. He has been interested in watching movies since childhood and after his formal education he worked as a film journalist and film critic. Bogdonovic made his directorial debut with the sci-fi film Voyage to the Planet Prehistoric Women. He has directed numerous films, including Targets, The Last Picture Show, Paper Moon, Daisy Miller, St. Jack, She’s Funny That Way, and At Last Last Love. Released in 1971, The Last Picture Show received eight Oscar nominations, including Best Director and Best Picture. The film also won the BAFTA Award for Best Screenplay. He has also acted in several films, short films and television series.
