This is how groups of ultras, associations of supporters and fans of national football have engaged in blood donation campaigns, in collaboration with local authorities, particularly after the distress signal launched by the transfusion centers blood due to the severe lack of donors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On this subject, Mustapha Nouri, president of the Association of Hassania d’Agadir fans, affirmed that this group was driven, from the appearance of covid-19, by an iron will in order to contribute to the efforts provided by the different components of society in the fight against this pandemic, noting that the blood donation campaign was marked by the participation of former players and artists in addition to club supporters.
The collaboration between the association and the authorities of the city of Agadir was the catalyst for these social actions, he told MAP, noting that great interest is shown in the Gadiri club through the proposal of new ideas to the club’s leaders, including the sale of solidarity tickets, in the wake of the closure of the grounds in front of supporters.
The culture of blood donation is not yet well-rooted within Moroccan society, he lamented, stressing however that the campaign was crowned with great success.
This outpouring of solidarity was followed by several associations and groups of supporters across the country.
This is how the Rajaouie association “Green Nest” undertook, as part of its missions, a blood donation campaign in order to highlight the role that football supporters play within society.
Under this heading, the president of this association, Anas Al Jaafari, confided that this initiative will be organized annually, noting that this entity will engage in similar actions thanks to the involvement of its members.
In addition to solidarity actions through aid to charitable institutions and orphanages, the “Green Nest” works to fight against hooliganism, an intruder which harms the image of national football, he noted.
Several ultras from the first division clubs had organized blood donation actions, including the “Winners”, supporters of Wydad Casablanca, who tried, just a little, to transmit the heat from the stands to the outdoor spaces.
Ditto for the ultras of the second division clubs, like “Fatal Tigers” and “Bianco Niro”, who respectively support the Fassis clubs of Moghreb and Widad and who followed in the footsteps of their D1 counterparts in s ‘investing in numerous social and humanitarian actions.
