A woman driving in‍ Farese, Italy, is in trouble after hitting an ⁢elderly cyclist with her car. The cyclist, who is 77 years old, was taken to the hospital with​ three broken ribs.

The accident‌ occurred ⁢around midday on ⁤Thursday, August 1st, ⁤on ⁣via Treviglio. Emergency responders, including⁢ the police, Carabinieri, and paramedics,⁢ were immediately dispatched to the scene. The cyclist, identified as ‍a citizen of⁣ Farese born in 1947, was transported to Hospital D.F.

Initial investigations suggest that the driver, who is also⁤ from⁢ Farese and born in ​1942, attempted to overtake another vehicle on the roadway. However, she failed to notice ⁣the⁤ cyclist, who ‍was struck by the car and fell to the ground. The‌ cyclist sustained three broken ribs as a result ⁣of the impact.

Furthermore, ​it was discovered⁣ that the driver’s⁤ vehicle was uninsured.⁤ She was subsequently fined 866⁢ euros. The⁢ cyclist, after receiving treatment, was discharged ‍from the hospital but is expected to recover fully in approximately one month.
