PESCARA. Luigi Bosco, for all “Gino”, grew up in the Jesuit oratory, who died at the age of 76 last Friday after an illness. As a boy he was an altar boy, in the church of the neighborhood that had seen him grow up. And in 1993, after leaving his job at the post office to retire, he returned to “his” parish at Cristo Re, in via del Santuario, to work as a sacristan. Over time, the former postman had become a point of reference for everyone, much loved by the faithful who asked him for help in organizing weddings and funerals. Then, two years ago, the illness and retirement to private life.

The death occurred in the hospital, on the evening of last Friday at 21, due to complications due to a series of diseases against which he had to fight in recent times. Bosco, from Pescara, died at the age of 76. He leaves his wife Luciana Rapposelli, son Tony (who turned 46 on Friday), daughter-in-law Nunu, grandchildren Luigi and Carla aged 3 and one. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10.30 in the church of San Giuseppe, in the hospital area, where the family, which has also fought against Covid in this period, has been living for years. The ceremony will be celebrated by Don Achille and Father Rosario. Bosco remained with the Jesuits for 24 years, collaborated with the priests who made the history of the parish: Father Cialente, Father Pezzimenti, Father Massimo Rastrelli, the anti-racket priest; Father Mucci, Don Tommaso, Father Pino. “He was also very attached to the bishop, Monsignor Tommaso Valentinetti”, reveals his son Tony, former driver of Nino Sospiri, who lives in France, “my father left on my birthday. He always told me: never argue with anyone. . He was a good man, always available to others, an affectionate father and grandfather. He was an acolyte to the Jesuits, he prepared the celebrations together with the parish priests. He never forgot the names of the people he had met and helped organize weddings, baptisms. and funerals “.

He was married to Luciana, originally from Chieti, on June 16, 1974, at Villa Obletter. “He was a loving father and grandfather”, says his wife, “he adored his grandchildren, he was happy when he could be with them.” Those who knew and loved him simply called him Gino. Among the friends who say goodbye, Roberto Falone, who has organized many shows in the Jesuit church. Luigi Bosco’s body will rest in the Colli cemetery.
