A serious loss has struck the city of Asti: Massimo Cotto has passed away at the age of 62.

Massimo Cotto is survived by his wife Chiara Buratti and his son Francesco Danilo. The funeral home will be set up from Saturday, August 3 at 3 PM until Monday, August 5 at 2:30 PM at the Teatro Alfieri in Asti.
The funeral will be held on Monday, August 5 at 3:30 PM at the Church of San Giovanni Bosco.

Here is the post on the official Facebook page of Virgin Radio announcing the sad news: “Last night, Massimo Cotto left us.
We at Virgin Radio, his (second) home, want to be the ones to tell you because Massimo was one of us.
Massimo was a phenomenal host but also much more. His interviews are masterful. An extraordinary journalist, writer, author, theater actor always eager to tell and (enchant) amaze those in front of him or listening.
In 2012, he became part of the Virgin Radio family, sharing the craziness of great rock artists through the segments of ROCK BAZAR and from 2016 he was on air every morning in ROCK AND TALK with Dr. Feelgood (Maurizio Faulisi) and with the Black Knight (Antonello Piroso).
All these years, he always greeted us with a smile and his unmistakable humor (we will never forget his jokes), keeping us company with an endless passion for music and all forms of art.
We are close to his family (Chiara, Francesco, and mother Marisa) and to all of you who, like us, loved and appreciated him.
Goodbye Massimo, safe travels.”
