With great emotion, he is bid farewell by the Kamara he loved, the Andros he cherished, and the international shipping family that loses an active member, as the deceased was a strong representative of the maritime community in London, Athens, and New York. The loss is significant primarily for Spyros Polemis’ family, but also for those who collaborated and journeyed with him in life and in professional creation.

SPYROS POLEMIS was distinguished for his ethics, seriousness, kindness, and integrity. A cooperative person, rich in words and active in deeds, with spiritual concerns and seekings, he did not bend during the storms of life and fought until the end.”

With the announcement of SPYROS MIK. POLEMIS’ death, President Ph. Tamvakakis and the members of the Board of Directors of the Andros Nautical Club, in an extraordinary session today, Monday, July 22, 2024, unanimously decided as follows:

They express their deep sorrow and sadness for the death of one of our benefactors, with international radiance, SPYROS MIK. POLEMIS

and approve the issuance of this resolution:

They express their sincere condolences to the relatives of the deceased.

The entire Board of Directors will attend the funeral ceremony.

A wreath will be placed on his coffin.

The flag of the Andros Nautical Club will fly at half-mast until the day of the funeral.
