Faridabad: The road network is being laid out in the district. Now there is a plan to build outer ring roads all around. The Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) has prepared its plan. If everything goes according to plan and the CM gives it the green signal, then this project will come into existence in the coming time. This road will give people relief from jam-free roads and it will be easy to travel from one place to another in the city. The plan will be presented before the CM on Wednesday
FMDA will present the plan of Outer Ring Road in front of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini in the board meeting to be held on July 10. If the CM approves it, then FMDA will start working on it. Officials have also done a ground survey for the ring road which passes through a radius of more than 70 kilometers. According to an estimate, about five thousand crore rupees are expected to be spent on this project.
why is it needed
If we look at the geographical location of Faridabad, Yamuna river is in the eastern part and Aravali hills in the western part. Gurgaon is situated in the western part and Noida and Ghaziabad in the eastern part. Delhi is in the north and Palwal in the south. At present, the population of the city is more than 26 lakhs. If we believe the Master Plan 2031, then the population will increase. In such a situation, there is a need to work more on the road network, because there is a lot of traffic pressure on the city roads. If people have to go to Gurgaon, they have to pass through the city. If people coming from there have to go to Noida, they also have to pass through the city. Therefore, there is a need for such a ring road, which takes the traffic to all the districts from outside the city. Therefore, FMDA has prepared a proposal to build a ring road.
Possible routes
If officials are to be believed, a possible route of the outer ring road has been prepared. In this, the Badkhal-Ankhir road will be directly connected to Bhakhri and then to Pali Sohna T Point. From here, via Sikrona, it will be connected to Sikri, from Sikri via Dundsa village to Naravali, Maujpur, Mandhavali, Bhupani. From Bhupani village to Badshahpur, then it will be connected to Badkhal road. Accordingly, this road will pass through five assembly constituencies Badkhal, NIT, Ballabhgarh, Prithla and Tigaon.
Land will have to be acquired
The outer ring road proposal prepared by FMDA will pass through many villages. Roads have been built at some places where they have to be widened, but land will have to be acquired in many villages. This has been mentioned in the proposal. Because of this, the budget of this project is reaching more than 5 thousand crores.
Will be connected to East-West connectivity road
At present, FMDA is also working on East-to-West connectivity, so that the western part of the city is directly connected to the eastern part. Outer Ring Road will be connected to this. East-West Connectivity Road will be brought to Greater Faridabad via Badkhal Railway Overbridge, so that people of Greater Faridabad can reach Gurgaon directly and traffic coming from Gurgaon can enter Noida directly via Greater Faridabad. If we talk about Outer Ring Road, then there is a possibility of connecting it to Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal and Noida Greenfield Expressway.
