He National Agricultural Council (CNA) and the National Chamber of the Fishing and Aquaculture Industry (Canapesca) regretted the Death of Minerva Perez Castropresident of the fishing authority in Baja California.

In a joint statement, both institutions said that in light of the tragic event, they strongly condemn the act and repudiate the violence that affects “not only our sector, but Mexico as a whole.”

Secondly, they demanded that the relevant authorities promptly clarify the events and call for justice to be done.

“The CNA and CANAINPESCA extend their deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Ms. Pérez Castro. Her loss leaves a significant void in our community.”

This follows the execution of Minerva Pérez Castro yesterday in Baja California, who hours earlier had issued threats and raised her voice against illegal fishing.

He said that the murder of Minerva Pérez was a vile act and expressed his condolences to her family and the Confederation. We must eradicate illegal fishing in Mexico.
