The fire was first reported at around 12:40 p.m. and quickly spread to 30 acres near Highlands Road and Aguanga Ranchos Road, close to the junction of Highways 79 and 371. The affected areas for evacuation include residents living south of Sage/Golden Eagle Drive, east of Becker Lane, west of Boulder Vista, north of Cottonwood Creek, east of Vail Lake Resort, west of Shirley Way, north of David Street, and south of Pueblo Road/Exa Ely Road.

According to firefighters, the fire currently remains 0% contained. To combat the flames, personnel from Corona, Hemet, Palm Springs, and Murrieta Fire Departments, as well as the U.S. Forest Service, are assisting. Over 300 units and more than two dozen aircraft are involved in the ground attack against the fire.

Efforts are being made to support impacted residents. Great Oak High School, located at 32555 Deer Hollow Way in Temecula, has been designated as a care and reception center for evacuees. Additionally, the San Jacinto Animal Shelter is available for evacuees to bring their large animals for care.

As firefighters continue to battle the blaze, it is crucial for residents in the area to follow evacuation orders and cooperate with the authorities. The safety of individuals and property remains the top priority.
