Tomorrow (Sunday, June 5, 2022) is the day of penance. The main deity to be worshiped on this day is Lord Subramanya.
Legend has it that Goddess Parvati’s mother performed a fast to find Subramanya Kumar, who had disappeared in the form of a serpent in the past. Therefore, it is said in the Puranas that those who do not have children will have children if they perform Shasti Vrata. Those who have children can also perform this fast for the betterment of their children.
