Tragic Crash on Nebraska Parkway Claims the Life of Lincoln Man

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln man in his 30′s lost his life in a devastating crash on Nebraska Parkway Monday afternoon.
Ryley Costello was driving a maroon Chevy Impala when the accident occurred. According to the accident report, he failed to yield while turning onto Nebraska Parkway from 20th Street and was struck by a white pickup in the intersection.
Both Costello and the driver of the pickup were rushed to the hospital, but Costello sadly succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the pickup was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the collision, Nebraska Parkway was shut down in the surrounding area for four hours.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safe driving practices and yielding the right of way. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Ryley Costello during this difficult time.
