One Person Found Dead After Shooting at Charlotte Gas Station, Police Investigating Homicide

CHARLOTTE — Tragedy struck a gas station in northwest Charlotte on Wednesday morning when one individual was found dead after being shot, according to MEDIC’s report to Channel 9.

The incident took place at approximately 10:30 a.m. at the QuickTrip on Bellhaven Boulevard, located off Mount Holly-Huntersville Road. Chopper 9 Skyzoom captured the scene where first responders had gathered near a pump to address the situation. An ongoing police investigation centered around a silver car with its driver’s side door open.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has classified the case as a homicide and is actively conducting an investigation.

In a separate development, Chopper 9 Skyzoom spotted officers in a residential area just two miles away from the QuickTrip, located on Susanna Drive. It is currently unknown if this scene is connected to the gas station incident, but CMPD is expected to release further details.
