Irshad Siddiqui, Fatehpur: A heart-wrenching incident took place in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Four friends who went to take a bath in Ganga on Saturday morning drowned in the river. In the accident, two people went missing in the strong current of the river. While two people were safely taken out of the river by local divers. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and after informing the family members about the incident, is engaged in searching for the missing people with the help of divers.

According to the information, Shobhit Vishwakarma, 18-year-old son of Arun Vishwakarma, a resident of Ranipur Bhakhanna village in the Khaga Kotwali area, Arvind Kumar Pal (18) son of Jaganmohan Pal and 14-year-old Sanjay Mishra, son of Rajendra Mishra and Alok Kumar, son of Arun Kumar, a resident of Bhareta Bagh Ajuha in the Saini Kotwali of Kaushambi district, all four are friends.

It is being told that the above people reached the Ganga Ghat in Naubasta of Sultanpur Ghosh police station area on Saturday morning at around 11:00 without informing anyone. Here all four people jumped into the river to take a bath. During this, due to the strong current in the river, all four friends reached the middle of the Ganga and started drowning.

2 people were safely pulled out of the river
Hearing the cries of the people drowning in the river, the shepherds present on the banks of the Ganga jumped into the river and after hours of hard work, pulled Alok and Arvind out of the river safely. The police was informed about the disappearance of Shobhit and Sanjay in the river. The police reached the spot and called the local divers and started searching for the missing people in the river. But there was no success till late evening. On the other hand, there is chaos among the family members present on the spot.

Station incharge Rajendra Tripathi said that while bathing in the Ganga river, four teenagers had reached the middle of the river. Two people have been safely taken out of the river. Divers are searching for the two missing people. NDRF team has been called from Prayagraj. At present, till the time of writing the news, no clue has been found about the missing teenagers.
