Date: [Insert Date]

Location: Kiryat Shmona, Israel

In a harrowing incident captured on security cameras, a family narrowly escaped a rocket explosion in the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona. Shmulik, a resident of one of the nearby kibbutzim, had taken his two children, aged 8 and 10, to pick up food when an alarm sounded, warning of an incoming rocket attack.

The footage shows Shmulik and his children hurriedly running towards a protected area just seconds before a fierce explosion can be seen outside. The impact of the rocket is visible as debris scatters across the vicinity. Fortunately, they managed to seek shelter in time and were unharmed.

Speaking to N12, Shmulik recounted the terrifying moments: “We ordered food and came to pick it up with the car. Suddenly we heard an alarm, and I immediately got the children out. The car didn’t open for me at first, I was stressed. Luckily it ended well – if we had stayed outside the situation would have been different. The children are under stress from the event, and I’m a little lame. But thank God, for me, everything is fine. I have to say the blessing of the reward.”

Shmulik’s wife, who listened to the incident unfold in real-time on her cell phone, shared her experience with N12: “Today we arrived and didn’t have time to eat. There was an alarm, my husband got out of the car – and couldn’t open the doors. After they managed to get to the business – the pusher let them in. I was with them on the line on the cell phone, I heard everything.”

Following the rocket attack in Kiryat Shmona, the police reported that multiple rockets had fallen in the area, causing damage to several buildings. Two individuals sustained moderate to light injuries and were promptly taken to receive medical treatment. This attack comes as part of an ongoing conflict known as the “Iron Swords” war, and it marks a significant increase in rocket activity in the Upper Galilee region.

Apart from Kiryat Shmona, several other nearby settlements, including Menara, Safed, Dalton, Margaliot, Tel Hai, and Beit Hillel, have also sounded alarms due to the escalating attacks.

As tensions continue to rise in the region, residents are urged to remain vigilant and prioritize their safety by heeding warnings and seeking shelter when necessary.
