Man Accused of Raping 9-Year-Old Daughter in Greece
Confronted by the anger of residents, a 40-year-old man accused of raping his now 9-year-old daughter appeared in court in Sparta on Saturday. He admits to previous abuse but denies the rape charges.
His lawyer emphasized that the accused has confessed to other sexual acts but denies the specific accusations. He seeks to avoid public scrutiny to protect his two minor children in the community.
The man is accused of raping the girl since she was 4, taking explicit photographs, and threatening her with imprisonment if she revealed his actions.
The victim’s mother expressed outrage over the psychological trauma inflicted on her children by the accused’s actions. Her primary concern is their mental health and well-being.
How the Horror Was Revealed
The accused lived with his ex-wife and children in Athens until they divorced four years ago. Despite a close relationship with his family, disturbing revelations emerged when the 11-year-old brother noticed unusual behavior during a visit to his father’s house. Suspicions grew, and the little girl eventually confided in her mother.
Investigation and Possible Dark Web Involvement
Seventy-nine photos and videos of the minor were found on the accused’s confiscated phone. Authorities are investigating the possibility that this material was leaked on the dark web. Additionally, they are examining potential exchanges of child pornography with other dark web users and any other instances of abuse.
No evidence of such activities has been found thus far. A forensic doctor has examined the victim, and a psychologist is scheduled to visit her at home.
